Counselling Services
With 18 years of experience in education as a teacher, administrator, and counsellor, I bring a wealth of understanding to the complexities of human experience. Holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, I employ a heart-centered approach to healing, dedicated to supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed by life's circumstances and uncertain how to proceed.
My practice is rooted in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), providing practical tools for navigating challenges and fostering growth. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, ensuring a foundation of trust and understanding.
I work with individuals aged 16 and older, specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety. My approach is trauma-informed, recognizing the impact of past experiences on present well-being. I integrate a biopsychosocial and transpersonal perspective, acknowledging the interconnectedness of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of health and wellbeing.
